A lot of guys recommend Rotella 15w40 diesel oil. It doesnt have the friction modifiers that regular car oils have that cause clutch slippage. I use Honda oil, and the Honda oil filter.

The NLGI numbers are consistency grade ratings. There is a table listing all of the grades for greases on the Wikipedia page. Your synthetic marine grease is an excellent choice for ES gears! Always use a synthetic grease if it is available. It will remain wet, outperform and outlast every standard crude based grease.
